Happy Birthday, Mark. This is Jeff's kind of party......you get to see how loved you are, but not be in the hot seat! :)
My very first memories of Worcester have you entertwined in them. You spoke to me on the phone when we were house hunting and then showed up with everyone from the Elders Quorum that you could muster to help us move in.
It was always such a pleasure to see you and kirsten and Anson and Levi at church and feel of your positive spirit.
We felt a loss when you guys moved away, but I feel blessed to have been able to see you both so frequently since.
I'll always be grateful that you dropped everything you were doing to drive an hour to give my dad a Priesthood Blessing when he was in the hospital in Colorado.
Hope your 40th is your best year ever!
Hey Mark! Happy Birthday! I can see that you are a wonderful husband and father to my cousin and your children. We hope you have a great day!
Love, The Smiths, Stevenson, Marissa and Spencer
We feel so lucky to have met you. You and your family have been a great blessing to us, and we look forward to a growing friendship.
Don and Angie Schultz
DEAR MARK: HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT BIRTHDAY. LONG AGO SOME ONE TOLD ME THAT LIFE BEGINS AT 40. I THINK THERE IS A LOT OF TRUTH TO THAT STATEMENT, SO ENJOY EVERY DAY TIME MOVES ON AT A FASTER PACE AS THE YEARS GO BY. LOVE UNCLE FRANK.
Happy Birthday Mark!
Your 40's are great. You have already made the stupid mistakes, you have a stronger testimony and more wisdom to make it through the next 40. Life is Good. Thanks for always being a great brother and friend. I miss you. Hope you have a great day! Love Suzanne
Happy 40th mark! it's been a long time we could probably pass each other on the street and not know each other! It has been a long time since we were both down on the farm in Antimony seeing Grandpa Savage! boy how the years fly!!! well just wanted to say hi and have a great day cousin!! hopefully we will get to see each other sometime soon!!
love
your cousin

Happy Birthday, Mark. This is my kind of birthday party. I never liked being surprised or getting gifts. Trish and I miss you all so much. We think of you often and hope to see you all soon. For now though, know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
My father always told me that you start going downhill after 45, so you are all set for 5 more years. Enjoy them!
We love you,
Tom and Trish Pratt
Happy Birthday Mark!
wish we were there. ha ha ha

Happy 40th birthday to the most devoted and best home teacher we ever had (and Kirsten was a great companion)! Your friendship to Brian and myself has really meant a lot. You helped us paint our house, you sat and talked and listened. We still eat off your old kitchen table that you guys gave us. Every time a see a tube from mini M&M's I think of how you made science cool.
And just a follow up on the baby name-and-blessing you gave George - you said he was a peaceful soul, and you were obviously well in tune with the spirit because he is the peaceful and peaceable one of the family.
Enjoy the cake, enjoy the kids, enjoy life!

I was told once that you become instantly mentally deficient at 40. After nine years of observation and watching others turn that age....
I forgot what I was talking about....oh, yes, happy anniversary Bill
Happy Birthday Mark. You have all of the best years still ahead of you. (Perhaps minus all of those years when your kids are teenagers.) We hope that you have a happy birthday. We miss you guys. Love, Marilee and Charles Cook
Dear Mark,
Happy Birthday from the Herrera's. I want you to know how special you are to my family. When I was hospitalized and you and Bishop Furse came to bless me I felt the spirit so strong. I want you to know your family represents pure love of christ and you are truly my brother. May the Lord bless you as you have blessed soooo many. Remember your loved and will never be forgotten. Happy Birthday dear friend.
Love,
Adam, Bonnie, Brandon, Bronson, Jamie,Joshua,& Kelsey
Mark, Happy Birthday! You are a total stud. I remember the first time I met you I knew you would marry my sis and I was seriously glad she found you. You are a kind and calming influence and a dedicated husband and daddy. I appreciate your humor and your generosity. Thanks for being a good friend and bro-in-law!! Love, Jojo
Happy Birthday Mark. We don't think you look a day over 39!
All the best to you and your wonderful family!
Bob and Jill Andros
Mark! Best wishes on your 40th! I have lots of memories of you taking care of your curly haired stephen during sunday school and the kids sharing all of their slobbery toys with eachother! They grow fast!
We just got back from a trip to Oregon and are excited to move up there, it is beautiful! Have a happy happy birthday!
-Steve and Natalee Maxfield
Happy 40th Mark! Wow, what a mile stone. May the best years still ahead. You are a great person and we are grateful for your generosity and thoughtfulness. You have blessed our family. You are supportive and friendly and seem to always have a smile. You are a hard worker and devoted to all the good things in your life. Hope you have a wonderful, relaxing and quiet b-day. Love, Holly, Adam and family

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Happy Birthday Mark.
I do anything to be 40 again.
The Bishop
Since I am 12 years away from turning 40, I can't imagine the pain and torture that your fraile and decreped body is going through. Just think, soon your can fart in public, in a crowd of people, and casually walk away knowing now, it is your right do so. That IS something to celebrate!!!
Happy Birthday Mark!!!
I love you dearly!!!
Your VERY MUCH younger sister
Burping Farting Mama,
(lay that pistol down)
Wow, Mark. The BIG "FOUR-O"!(Oh, boy. I'm next.) I hope you have a fabulous birthday and your get-away is relaxing and rejuvenating! You're a great brother and wonderful hubby to my sis. Thanks for all you do and are. We love you and are so glad you're here with us! Have a super B-day. Love, Heidi & the Jarvies
Hey Savages!! Happy Birthday Mark!
Boy, Worcester has not been the same since you guys left. Every time we go by your old house near soccer practices, we hear the song from Pocahontas from the back seat (Savages, savages, barely even human, etc.) We have such good memories of your family. Can't believe how big your kids are. Or how old you are! AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!! We miss you still.
Happy happy birthday Mark dear....(picture badly sung primary song by Ferrins who can't sing singing to you with great fervor).
Take care! Happy birthday!
Much love, Paul and Heidi (who are still older than you), Luke 15, Brooke 13, Jared 8 and Will 3!!
Hi Mark!
What a great way to have a birthday party. I'm so glad we get to be part of it!
What a blessing it has been to know you and your family. We sure did have some good times and miss you lots!
Hey Mark!
Wow, you've always been somewhat of a trailblazer, and now you've blazed a fine trail to that magic 40 for me, heheh. You know, are you sure you aren't still 39? My grandpa always said he was 39 and I remember thinking, "wasn't he 39 last year, too?", but I never really caught on to that until I was older and wiser.
I must say, too, that your hair never looked better than now - keep up the great style!
Anyhow, I'm really glad you've been a great part of our lives since those Y days, and we'll plan on plenty more.
Happy Birthday, amigo!
- Sean McKell
Happy Birthday Mark! It has been such a fun experience to work on your house plans with you two. You and kirsten are such amazing examples of what family is. We hope you have a great birthday and an even better year!
Hey Mark, happy 40th!! We have many fond memories, from the first time you & Kirsten had us over for dinner, to many more gatherings across the country and all the service activities in between.
We've made a tradition of keeping in touch. Now we'll just have to find a way to get up to Oregan. We wish you the very best and hope to see you again soon.
Happy Birthday!! Love, Regan & Jennifer Zane
A big Happy B-day to you! You are awesome, we are so glad to have you as our home teacher and in our ward.
Love, John, Teresa and the Smith Tribe
Yeah Mark! Happy Birthday from Daniel and Francesca! We hope you have a wonderful day!
Mark - Happy 40th Birthday!! It's not that bad, I survived mine two months ago. I received lots of antacids, beano (antigas), and even anti-aging toothepaste! I've already used some of it!
Thanks for being a great friend and someone who encouraged me to succeed in scouts and at school. I remember getting one of the first aid merit badges at your house in Louisville. Part of old troop 264 faked injuries and then the rest of us gave them first aid. I also remember shooting a pellet gun at floating debri in the irrigation ditch behind your property. I also remember all those 50 mile hikes! Keep on hikin' you're still young!
Next time you're in Colorado, give me a call or stop by!
Jason Beebe
Hey Mark,
Remember, never trust anyone over forty....one! Well, knowing that you have made forty and survived gives us younguns hope for the future - after all, we still have 'till next summer before we get that old. At least you still have your hair...Oops! I mean health! We'll try to be in town the next time you all are out here - we'd sure like to meet that little girl. Besides, the boys are getting so big, and our kids would love to teach them some bad habits. Happy birthday, and hope you have a great next year. Give the whole family hugs for us, and good luck keeping up with four of them. You definitely have to go to a zone defense to deal with that many!
Love,
Brian, Becky, Taylor, Tony, Teigan, and Conner
Mark,
Here's wishing you a fantastic fortieth birthday! My boys and I have enjoyed being in your home and associating with you and your wonderful family!
Love,
Marilyn McCarty (along with Jack, Chris and Mike)
Happy Birthday Mark!
We are thrilled to have you and your sweet family in our lives. We admire you for your willingness to serve others and the great job you do with your family.
We are also grateful that there is now a fire station near our homes in case the candles on the birthday cake get a little out of control! Enjoy your day and remember...40 is the new 30!
Happy Birthday!
Jed and Erica Ledesma
ps-Hey this is a great party but where are the cake and ice cream?
Dear Mark,
You are a precious son-in-law. We know that we can count on you for love and support. Thanks for being a conscientious daddy and caring husband. We are really enjoying having you close by. Thanks for making the trek to Oregon! (And it's fun having you as a counselor in our bishopric so we can look at you sitting on the stand all through the meeting.) Have a very happy "youthful" 40th birthday.
Love, mom and dad Seable

Hello there Mark,
Hope you have a great Birthday. Jeremiah Jones forwarded us the email and we thought it would be neat to drop you a Happy Birthday note.
Love, The Taylors
David, Nevila, Sarah, Jordan and Dallin
Happy Birthday Mark.
It seem strange not calling you Brother Savage. Congratulations on the 40th birthday.
Without question the Worcester Ward is poorer without you and your family here.
Four children?? When did that happen? I seem to recall a young couple, childless and desperately wanting children. Well blessings do come to the righteous.
My family misses you and yours greatly. You are a blessing to all with whom you come in contact. I personally feel it is a priviledge to count you among my friends.
Thanks for being the man you are.
Love,
Robert Furse
Hey Mark! We hope you have a wonderful day on your fortieth. We're so glad you're part of the family. I remember when Kirsten told me about meeting a really neat guy on the steps of BYU (obviously you)& the conversation you had, & I remember thinking "wow, this may actually be 'the one'" - Then when we met you it felt like you were already part of the family! Of course, years later we still approve :) - you've only gotten better. It was nice to see you for a little while on Halloween. Sorry about your back though! Hope you get relief soon!! We love you and are thinking about you today. Love, The O'Connors: Clarissa, Paul & Julia (xoxox)
Hey Old Man!
ED
Mark - you young whipersnapper! 40 is just the beginning! Heck! According to the aging tables you're not even half-way through yet. So celebrate like a youngster! (or was that "with a youngster"?). Either way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Now get back to work.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MARK. MICHEL P.
Happy Birthday Mark. At this rate you will catch up to me soon.
Hope you have a Great Day.
It's been great getting to know you and your family! Hope you have a great birthday and wonderful 40th year. Woo hoo!
Julie and Nick Kanta
Hey Mark,
You're just getting warmed up!! Take it form a guy with a couple of decades on you...life is good now, and it gets better!
Hope the Birthday part of your day is great, and we'll keep the grief index to a minimum at work! Happy Birthday!!
Mark, I love your virtual birthday cake. I hope you can blow out the virtual fire and get your virtual wish. Take a deep virtaul breath and blow hard. Remember you are only virtually 40 years old now.
Congratulation, I hope you enjoy the party. I sure am.
Mark happy birthday... I didn't get my evite until today... LOTS OF LOVE OLD MAN... PS Jake's is 40 in Dec.
XOXO
Happy Birthday Mark! How fun! Hope you have a great day!
Kjell, Crystal and the kids!

John
Happy birthday! 40 already you are catching up with TL.
39 Again ! ! !
Oh yeah, the big FOUR OH ! ! !
4 Decades of Fabulous Fun !
May you have 50 more . . . and if that doesn't make your back hurt, I don't know what will. Seriously, I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating. It's been an honor knowing you and your lovely family.
God Bless,
Dave Bullock and family
Mark,
I heard you were over the hill.
Not to worry (from someone who's long been over that hill). In life's journey, may there be many more hills.
Happy Birthday!
40! I can't imagine being that old. Of course, that's only because I've long since forgotten what 40 was like!
Hope your 40th is your best birthday ever!
Jim (& Kirsten too!)
Happy Birthday, I hope you have a wonderful day! I remember your birth, with the election you almost came on election day when President Nixon was voted in as President. That night I went to the hospital but I didn't have you until a week later. What a memory. I hope you get better soon. Don't forget to take your vitamin C everyday! Love you, Mom
Happy 40th Birthday! Hope your scouting with our boys didn't cause you to age prematurely:)
Thanks for all you did to get them there. Happy B-day! We miss all of you.
Kalle, Paul, Parker, Nathan & Madeline Davis
Hey it's Marky Mark and the funky 40!!!
Happy B-day - even though I probably wouldn't admit it if I was THAT old. Hope you can remember having a good time - being nearly a senior and all - when it's all done.
Have a great day and many blessings to you in the coming year.
Wayne.
Jeff says, "Hi, Mark. I know by the time you get to this, you have read through a lot of comments and have a hard time reading this through tears of joy. It's been a long time coming, Bud, but you've made it. 40 at last. If you're like me, you probably feel much older than you actually are. But don't worry, 42 is worse. One day you'll long for 40! Hopefully this blog will be around next year and I can just write "ditto" and turn 40 to 41. I wish I had a birthday blog. I'm gonna write some more now. So...how's it goin'? Do you love this, or what? Cause I do. And I can't wait cause I'm sure Heidi got this idea from Kirsten by now and I hope she sends it to everyone on her contact list and asks everyone else to forward it to everyone they can think of. Cause I need to hear it, worse than you. This is sure a cool blog. But it could use a little spiffing up. If you need to know some tips on how to make your blog a little "snazzier", just let me know and I'll let you know because I love blogging a lot. Best wishes, and happy birthday! I hope this year's a good one and next year too. Happy, happy birthday!!!
Love, Jeff"
Jefferson says, "I caught you falling asleep on the stand as the second counselor. Don't let it happen again. Just kidding. Happy birthday!"
Anthony says, "Uncle Mark, I really love you. You're always helping people, and ME (especially at Miller Lake). Thank you for being you and have a great b-day!"
Calvin says, "Have a happy one. Hope you have many more returns of the day!"
Alex says, "Congrats Uncle Mark. You made it half way to 80! That's a good, clean life!"
Julie says, "You're a great uncle. Have a great day!"
Charlie says, "Happy birthday Uncle Mark! I hope you have a great year this Christmas."
Preston says, "I know you're a great, loving dad that is in the Savage family."
Parker says, "Uncle Mark, Happy day!!!"
Happy birthday Mark! It's us, the Guidos, late as usual. Forty years old is very significant. My uncle, Johnny Razzo, was convicted of grand theft at forty and got out of prison at 46. It was then that his birthday was celebrated. Glad yours is on schedule.
All the Best!
Love,
Mike, Laurine,etc.
